Sherwood Joins the Three River's Softball League
We are excited about Sherwood joining the Three River's Softball League. The Sherwood Fireballs recreational program from T-ball to 12 u will join with Lake Oswego, Wilsonville, West Linn and Tualatin to provide a recreational softball experience in a league setting. We are especially excited about the shorter game time commute and excellent fields that Sherwood brings to the league.

Our name change from Tualatin Fastpitch Softball Association to Tualatin Youth Softball better discribes our mission. We are dedicated to increasing the number of youth softball players in Tualatin
by providing a superior softball experience. Our program is very similar to the highly successful community softball programs offered in Sherwood, Canby, West Linn, Wilsonville and Lake
Oswego.
TYSA is associated with the Amateur Softball Association (ASA), the largest and fastest growing girls softball association in the United States. ASA local, regional and national youth tournaments
are used by college softball coaches across America to recruit players for their teams. ASA is also the home of USA softball, organized to support our USA Olympic Softball Team.
By offering a well-coached and comprehensive recreational softball program for all ages, Tualatin girls who accel and wish to compete at the higher levels (even the highest) are able to be easily
identified and selected for competitive "tournament" teams. This seamless transition from recreational play to competitive play ultimately results in more girls playing softball in Tualatin and
eventually at Tualatin High School and beyond.
TYSA offers our players many advantages over other programs: smaller teams, playing with friends, and keeping uniforms to name a few. In addition we partnered with the City of Tualatin and the
Tigard / Tualatin School District to improve the fields we play on.
Projects included:
Tualatin Community Park
* Donated tons of Turface for both fields
Tigard / Tualatin School District
Byrom Elementary School
* Mixed Turface into dirt infield on T-ball field
In addition we have contracted for year round maintenance on all fields that we play on. The condition of the fields directly impacts safety and the softball experieince of our players.
