The recreational softball program is designed to provide a fun and positive sports experience for girls and to provide a solid foundation of basic skills for a softball player. Those players with above average skills and desire can progress into competitive teams. No matter how far your daughter wishes to go in softball their player development begins right here.

Tualatin Youth Softball Association will offer recreational play at the following age groups:

Teams in the recreational program will be provided a TWolves uniform that the players will get to keep. League play will be with teams in West Linn, Wilsonville and Lake Oswego. The focus of our recreational play is to provide a fun softball experience and to play teams in our league cities. To do that we will provide the following opportunities:

• Teams will be kept small, 7 to 8 players at T-ball and 8U and up to 10 players at 10U, 12U and 14U. All players at the recreational level will play equally and get to field and bat.
• Girls can choose their own teams and / or coach if they want, so sign up with all your friends.
• Girls who do not choose their own teams will be placed on teams with girls from the same school.
• TWolves uniform and helmet will be provided. The player keeps the uniform. The girls LOVE wearing their uniforms throughout the year!
• Opening Day ceremonies early April.
• End of the season tournament in early June.
• TYSA will hold a softball camp in August for those girls interested in trying out for a competitive team.
• Competitive team tryouts will be held in August of each year.

TYSA will do its best to provide participation for all interested girls however participation may be limited if coaching, team space, participation numbers and field resources are not available. In the unlikely event that we are not able to place your daughter on a team, you will be fully refunded your registration fees.
